Municipalité Isle-aux-Coudres

About

Parc Jacques Cartier : On chemin du Mouillage, immediately after the Marina, inaugurated in 2010 for the 475th anniversary of Isle-aux-Coudres. This park commemorates Jacques Cartier who had the first mass celebrated on Canadian soil in September of 1535. You will discover Martin Brisson’s sculpture depicting the famous discoverer watching out for ships.

Parc de la Roche à Caya : Chemin de l’Islet, next to the playground. Also inaugurated in 2010, this park’s vocation is one of conservation and protection. There are paths and picnic tables for your enjoyment. The access to the beach is municipal. You will find interesting interpretation panels on the nature, fauna, flora, as well as on the legend related to this site.

Le Quai de l’Anse : Near St-Louis church. Le quai de l’Anse underwent renovations in 2015 and now offers a pleasant area for fishermen and hikers who particularly enjoy this spot. The interpretation panels here will also captivate your attention and picnic tables await you.

La Halte du Pilier : At 2191, chemin des Coudriers. Unveiled in 2015, this halt long-awaited by kite and bicycle enthusiasts, now offers a sanitary area accessible to mobility reduced persons with a changing table and a screen showing Isle-aux-Coudres’ main attractions. Come to spend an hour when kite fans paint the sky, above the river, in front of the halt. It is fascinating. An important parking area is located right behind the building.

Municipal playground : chemin de l’Islet. Offers a skateboard park, a ball park, a soccer field, a maritime theme modular game for children 5-12 years old, swing sets, picnic tables.
Municipal building : 1026, chemin des Coudriers. A skating rink on a concrete base offers ice skating in winter and in-line skating in summer. The chalet is open when the skating rink is operational. A net for tennis or volleyball is also available and may be installed on the skating rink in summer. A module of games for children 5 to 12 years old, a gift from Sport-Action, is also accessible behind the building.
