About
In 1878, Canada voted the Prohibition law forbidding the sale of alcohol. Each Québec county would vote to authorize or not the sale of alcohol…Undeground bars, also known as Speakeasies, opened their doors. In 1939, an American opened the Club des Monts, officially a hunting club, with secrete rooms linked through a Labyrinth of narrow corridors, where you can even find a dedication by Elvis Presley. Alcohol was served and consumed illegally until 1964 when it finally became legal. This place today has become La Maison du Bootlegger. At night, it becomes a supper club.
