The village of Les Éboulements, with its unique topography, is a place I particularly love to visit. Did you know that Mont des Éboulements marks the centre of the Charlevoix meteorite crater? The impact, that happened more than 400 million years ago has, among other things, shaped the marvellous landscapes typical of Charlevoix. The St. Lawrence Route, which passes through the village of Les Éboulements, offers a picturesque view of the St. Lawrence River and Isle-aux-Coudres. Incidentally, it was down near the river that we headed to pick raspberries. Les Jardins du Centre offers a wide variety of market garden produce from their 25 hectares of cultivated land. Filling a few bags with fresh vegetables is simply unavoidable. And don’t forget their famous pies—blueberry is a particular favourite. With our car overflowing with provisions, we set off again for our next stop.
