Visit an exceptional site gathering in one place a watermill and a nearby windmill admirably restored. Tradition lives on as the miller grinds wheat and we may attend a demonstration of wheat and buckwheat being ground into flour at the watermill. You may purchase freshly stone-ground flour at the souvenir shop or on Charlevoix en ligne Website.
The only site of its kind in Canada, this museum houses a fully functional watermill (1825) and windmill (1836), as well as a miller’s residence. Tradition lives on with the authentic millstones used to grind wheat and buckwheat into flour at the watermill, which visitors may purchase at the boutique.
Les Moulins’ boutique carries a line of hand-milled flours, souvenirs and local delicacies.
