About
The trail leads to the mountain bearing the same name. The climb is steeper from West to East. Regardless of the direction chosen, there will be magnificent 360 vistas on the region: the mountains of des Grands-Jardins national park and Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie national park, Mont Grand-Fonds, Mont des Éboulements, Isle-aux-Coudres, Île-aux-Grues, Massif du Sud, Massif de Charlevoix, du Gouffre valley and the wind farm far to the West. Night owls might even, in the wintertime, see the lights of Mont Sainte-Anne, away on the Côte-de-Beaupré.
Access
Western access : from Baie-Saint-Paul, take Route 138 West to the junction for the village of Petite-Rivière-Saint-François’ Rue Principale (« Main Street »). 4-season parking, with information shelter and pergola.
Eastern access: at 411, chemin de la Martine, in the village of Petite-Rivière-Saint-François. 4-season parking lot. Caution: the parking lot is not plowed in winter.
