This permanent exhibition pays tribute to the craftswomen, mothers and grandmothers who have kept the traditions of textile art alive in Charlevoix and are helping to forge the region’s identity. While preserving traditional values and techniques, local craftswomen have demonstrated ingenuity and keen observation to explore specific themes and techniques that have given rise to Charlevoix’s renowned and cherished crafts.
Returning to the roots of buttonwork, crochet, weaving, and knitting, the techniques that have made Charlevoix famous, Studio Trad also invites you to try your hand at these crafts. You’ll discover their full creative potential and contemporary relevance.
