It all began on the outskirts of Berlin, in a small chapel, with a three-part harmony alongside my friends Jermaine Holmes on drums and vocals, the powerful Jim Wilson on bass and vocals, and Lanois on guitar and vocals. The chapel’s acoustics were such that the voices sounded beautiful, so we chose to keep our instruments quiet and let the voices fill the night.
