Conference | Astronomy: Venus - Ville de La Malbaie

Presented by Hugues Lacombe of the Club d'astronomie de Charlevoix. The planet Venus is the brightest object in the sky after the Sun and the Moon. A thick layer of clouds veils its surface, and it rotates in the opposite direction to all the other planets. It is also the hottest planet, its atmosphere composed of CO2 being the cause: a prime example of global warming… To better understand the current situation, Mr. Lacombe will review our knowledge about Venus and detail upcoming missions that will study it. Free admission, no registration required. Seating is limited to the room's capacity.Conference is in French.
