Conference | Astronomy: The planet Saturn and its moons - Ville de La Malbaie

With Hugues Lacombe. Who hasn't seen beautiful photos of Saturn and its rings? Known since antiquity, this planet has been visited by numerous space probes. But it still holds many secrets; its moons are all different from one another, and very different from our Moon. We briefly landed on Titan. And Enceladus reveals jets of water coming from an ocean beneath its icy crust. Could we discover traces of life there? And then, as seen from Earth, its rings periodically disappear, as they did earlier this year. How can we explain this phenomenon? Come and discover the current state of knowledge about Saturn and its moons. Free admission, no registration required. Seating is limited to the room's capacity. Conference is in French.
