Covering 424 km², the Zec des Martres is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with 219 lakes (150 of them open for fishing) and 10 rivers perfect for sport fishing.
The area is teeming with diverse wildlife, from familiar southern Quebec species to the occasional caribou, thanks to its unique geography and climate.
With Parc national des Grands-Jardins, Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, and the Réserve faunique des Laurentides right next door, the Zec des Martres is the perfect place to escape and recharge. Towering peaks, breathtaking landscapes and wild, untamed beauty make it a dream destination for outdoor adventures.
To help protect this incredible natural heritage, the stunning Charlevoix region—of which we are proud to be a part—was named a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1988.
