Alpine skiing views reach new heights

It’s a truly unique experience not only reaching the summit but also descending the slopes of Charlevoix’s two renowned ski resorts. Whether you choose Mont Grand-Fonds or Massif de Charlevoix, landscapes adorned in immaculate white will exceed all your skiing and viewpoint expectations. This winter, great care has been taken to implement effective safety measures to ensure you enjoy a fabulous, worry free alpine experience. Discover how these two mountains will take your panoramic photos to new heights:

Mont Grand-Fonds

Les Braconniers

The engaging gradient of this trail reveals a breathtaking view of the impressive mountains directly ahead of you. This 180 degree panorama, worthy of the most beautiful winter scenery, will stop even the quickest skiers dead in their tracks.

La Florence

Local knowledge tip: To end the perfect day skiing with a perfect sunset, take advantage of the last few minutes before the station closes and head for La Florence. Incredible blends of reds and oranges fill the skies, offering the perfect backdrop to snow capped ranges.

Des Bouleaux

Take the Des Bouleaux trail – and access a fairy tale. From the top to the bottom of the trail, magnificent small islands of white birch trees stand out. As you carve around its bends, admire the waters of the St.Lawrence River in the distance, the Massif de Charlevoix looming on the horizon and Mont des Éboulements, the landing place of the meteorite impact that created all you can see.

A bonus – Le Sommet

Once at the summit, straight in front of you as you leave the chairlift, look out for this trail. Fifteen minutes later, you’ll arrive at the belvedere overlooking Lake Gravel where you’ll also enjoy a breathtaking view of the river of the same name.

Massif de Charlevoix

La Racine

This new trail, accessible via the base of the Camp-Boule sector, is simply stunning. Incredibly wide, La Racine allows winter sports enthusiasts to perform giant slalom style turns with the added bonus of breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River. From this trail, enjoy a front row seat at the construction of the brand new Club Med Québec Charlevoix.

L’Anguille

From the top of l’Anguille and its significant vertical drop, enjoy the unique feeling that this vertiginous descent will end in the icy waters of the St. Lawrence River. For an extra treat, wake up early as being the first person to carve up this soft white carpet is a pure delight.

La Fénomène

The great incline of this slope offers spectacular views of the St. Lawrence River as well as Isle-aux-Coudres looming on the horizon. If you’re an early bird, the sunrises here are simply breathtaking and not to be missed.
