The Forêt Gourmande experience consists of making you discover the edible wild plants of the inhabited forest of the Massif and the forests of Charlevoix.

Taste wild plants during guided tours in the forest in summer and winter. Cook the spices and mushrooms of the forest and learn the ABCs of mixology with forest cocktail syrups during outdoor cooking workshops! Book your visit or workshop!

Discover the gourmet forest products showcased at our boutique, in our coffees and homemade snacks. Take a breath in our educational forest area under the pines and a magnificent view of the River.

Activities

  • Forêt gourmande is a chain of producers and processors that showcases gourmet forest products such as maple products, birch syrup, berries, forest spices and wild mushrooms.

  • Inside the Forêt gourmande you will find an environmental education area, including 10 interpretation panels on the ecology of gourmet products, to allow visitors to learn more about our nourishing forest.

  • The Forêt gourmande boutique offers a range of gourmet products 100% forest, from Charlevoix and seasonal arrivals:
    Maple products and white birch syrup from the Coopérative de l'Arbre, certified organic.
    Forest mushrooms such as chaga, porcini mushrooms and chanterelles picked by passionate gatherers from Charlevoix.
    Amelanche in the form of jelly and syrup prepared by Les Vergers Pedneault.
    Blueberry marmalade concocted by Les Jardins du center
    Labrador tea
    Spices from our forests in the spotlight until February

    Balsam Myrique
    Crisp alder pepper picked directly from the Massif mountain by the Coop de l'Arbre team.

  • Two forest and gourmet interpretation walks are offered. These walks take place in the Inhabited Forest of the Massif, where you can find dozens of edible wild plants and mushrooms. The activity is aimed at families and curious people interested in discovering the gourmet treasures of our forests.

    This visit introduces you to the identification of edible wild plants and "how" to harvest them ethically. This activity also allows you to learn how to prepare wild plants and taste them! 90-minute family package and 2,5-hour adult package.

  • Guided tours in the form of a hike in the territory of the Inhabited Forest of the Massif which will allow you to learn to identify edible forest plants and to pick them.
