About

Des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie national park displays landscapes worthy of the forces of nature that crafted it, and the people who visited it over the years.   • Whether a beginner or experienced, this is a nice way to discover the breathtaking landscapes and the secrets of the valley between the dam of maples and the bracket sector. You can rent a boat for 1 h, a block of 4 hours or an entire day equipment rental center. Guaranteed fun!

  • Discover the enormous potential of the Malbaie River. Ideal place to learn about fishing with family or friends, wading or boat. Black Lake, meanwhile, allows you to tease the fish in an exceptional environment rowboat. Brook trout and unforgettable sensations featured therein.

  • Discover the remarkable history, fauna and geological features of the Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie with a park warden on board Le Menaud riverboat (48 passengers). Navigate between the steepest rock cliffs east of the Canadian Rockies.

  • Seven hiking trails are available for exploring the park. The most spectacular, difficult level, Acropole des Draveurs from a height of 800 meters in altitude offers a unique perspective. Other easy and intermediate trails will not leave you indifferent. Good discovery!

  • Together with Vélo Québec, the Sépaq has set a network of campgrounds “Bienvenue cyclistes” (« Welcome cyclists »)! Enjoy sites reserved exclusively for cyclists, easy of access and available without advance booking.

  • Discovering the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie national park is also possible in the company of a naturalist park keeper. From May to October, guided services are available to meet your various needs.

  • This winter the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie national park rolls out the white carpet. A must destination in Charlevoix’s backcountry, the Vallée des glaces has an abundance of activities such as snowshoeing, Hok skiing, fatbike and skating on the river. The new Echo chalets, de l’Équerre relay refuge and the service center Le Draveur located at the heart of the valley will allow you to fully enjoy this paradise for winter enthusiasts.   • Various winter activities

    The park offers winter activities for all tastes! Walk along several trails in snowshoes, Nordic ski, Hok ski or mount a fatbike, according to your ability. A skating rink on the Malbaie River will unveil unique scenery for an activity accessible to all. In addition, a 22-passenger shuttle will link Le Draveur service center to the de l’Équerre sector, allowing easy access to this heavily snow covered area of the park.

    After an invigorating day in the great outdoors, ten all new Écho cabine are available to relax. Enjoy the beat for winter enthusiasts like you: comfort, tranquility and fireplace to warm you up. With a capacity of 4 people, these cozy accommodations, recently built by the Sépaq, blend flawlessly with their surroundings allowing the breathtaking scenery take center stage.
