An hour East of Québec City, the town of Saint-Irénée stands out with its spectacular coastal scenery, its breathtaking view on the Saint-Lawrence River, the typical layout of the town and the neighbouring beach. All of these caracteristics have led Saint-Irénée to rank among Québec’s nicest villages.

Activities

  • This Récollet-style church dates back to 1842 and the cemetery to 1843. A number of heritage collection pieces are displayed in the church, among them a painting of the Virgin and Child, the high altar, the sanctuary lamp, the stations of the Cross, the Casavant organ. The belfry’s three bells date back to 1904 and resonate at noon and at 6 p.m. The museum area features sacerdotal vestments and objects. The church overlooks the Saint. Lawrence.
