From Baie-Saint-Paul and La Malbaie, Kabatatik’s base camp offers a number of outdoor recreational activities for people of all ages : sea kayaking on the Saint Lawrence River, recreational kayaking on the Gouffre River (family activity), paddle-boarding (SUP), canyoning down waterfalls, guided ski-snowshoes excursion, paragliding (introductory flights), bike rentals. In winter time : guided ski-snowshoes excursion in the National Parks, fatbike and winter kayaking tours. Corporate and team building activities. The ticket office/gift shop on the Baie-Saint-Paul wharf also sells kites, kayaks and boating equipment.

  • From Baie-Saint-Paul and La Malbaie, Katabatik - Aventure dans Charlevoix offers a number of outdoor recreational activities for people of all ages: sea kayaking on the St. Lawrence River, kayaking down the Gouffre River (family activity), stand-up paddleboarding, canyoning, biking, paragliding, ski hok, fatbike and winter kayaking. Business and team-building activities also available. The ticket office/gift shop on the Baie-Saint-Paul wharf also sells kites, kayaks and boating equipment.

  • Sea kayaking excursions on the St-Lawrence. Rich with abundant marine life, the presence of marine mammals and an amazing geomorphology, the Charlevoix coasts become a must to paddle and discover. Our excursions showcase an unparalleled diversity of landscapes, natural spaces and interpretive stars: the Rivière du Gouffre in Baie-Saint-Paul, coastal and hilly landscapes, rocky capes, the panorama of the Charlevoix astroblème , the southern part of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park, the semi-diurnal rhythm of the tidal currents and the greater tidal ranges of the estuary, and of course, the meeting of birds and marine mammals.

  • Beginner whitewater excursions down the du Moulin River in Baie-Saint-Paul, and Cimon Falls in Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive. We will take you out to live an exciting vertical water trek. A unique adventure and geology discovery excursion. For adults and children 10 years and up, no previous experience necessary. Equipment provided: harness, neoprene suit, jacket and helmet.

  • RECREATION KAYAKING ON THE GOUFFRE RIVER : A perfect river for recreational kayaking. Self-guided itineraries of 12 to 25 km, for beginners, families and the avid sports enthusiasts. Shuttling included, several departures daily. For 4 years and older.

    SEA KAYAKING ON THE SAINT LAWRENCE : Guided excursions of half a day or more, departures from Cap-à-l'Aigle and Baie-Saint-Paul. Discover the coastal landscapes of Charlevoix, from the marina Port of refuge Cap-à-l'Aigle, through the Pointe le Heu, discover a rocky and panoramic section of the coast and the coast of Charlevoix, Cape Whale and on the barachois of La malbaie. From the Baie-Saint-Paul wharf, paddle in the calm of the largest bay in the middle estuary, towards Cap au Corbeau or Cap Maillard, with a unique view of Isle-aux-Coudes, on the Massif, on the Mont des Éboulements and on the valley of the Rivière du Gouffre.
    Also available : paddle surfing (SUP).

  • Full day sea kayaking tours at Gros Cap à l'Aigle and Marine Park : Adventure for all and observation of marine mammals. From the Port de Refuge de Cap-à-l'Aigle marina, by way of rivière à la Loutre, discover one of the most remote sections of the Charlevoix coast: le Gros cap à l'Aigle and enjoy a memorable outdoor meal there, on the Bas de l'Anse beaches. Observe the aquatic birds that live there along with marine mammals (whales, belugas, porpoise and seals).

  • At the wharf in Baie-Saint-Paul, Katabatik rents bikes, so you can plan your own bike excursions. A series of routes along the Gouffre valley allow you to discover Baie-Saint-Paul and its surroundings at your own pace and according to your fields of interest.

  • Guided Ski-snowshoe excursions (Hok) in Charlevoix National Parks, Grands-Jardins and Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie: guided excursion: an introduction to off-track skiing with OAC shoeshoe-skis. The guided tour of this hidden gem within Charlevoix is known for its breathtaking views and secluded quiet ambiance. OAC ski rental and a light lunch are included in the package. Shuttle service from La Malbaie to Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park; includes Park access pass and Ski-Snowshoe rental for the day.
