The trail du Dôme, with its 7.8 km of intermediate level path represents a nice challenge for a one-day hike at the heart of the Traversée de Charlevoix. Surrounded by summits reaching up to 1000 meters, the trail will take you through various ecosystems.
From Baie-Saint-Paul, follow Route 138 East, then Route 381 North to kilometer 10.6, the welcoming station, a white house located behind the old museum. The trail begins at kilometer 23,2 of Route 381. Parking is provided at the trailhead.
- Registration at the welcoming area of the Traversée de Charlevoix is compulsory before going on hiking. Outside of opening hours, self-recording and autoperception terminals are present at the beginning of the trail;
- During the hunting season, it is mandatory to wear the orange vest and cap.
