Des Crètes Trail – Le Massif de Charlevoix

About

The Massif de Charlevoix offers, in addition to sliding sports, hiking trails including the trail des Crètes. This narrow path with obstacles and steep slope, features amazing views on the Saint-Lawrence River and the Butte Ronde. There is a possibility for a small loop at the 2 km summit to go to the Button de La Charlevoix (ski trail). It reaches La Promenade trail leading to the base of the Massif de Charlevoix.

Access

From Québec City, follow Route 138 for approximately 62 km. The access road to the Massif summit is on the right hand side. Departure from the Chalet Sommet near the Maillard ascent or at the base from La Promenade trail. To get to the base entrance to the Massif, go to the municipality of Petite-Rivière-Saint-François and continue on the Rue Principale (“Main Street”) to the ski station.

The reception pavilion is only accessible in winter.
It is always important to get information from the trail manager before going hiking.
