Is the Charlevoix region ready to welcome tourists? Yes, the Charlevoix region is fully committed and looking forward to welcoming visitors, in full compliance with the imposed sanitary measures.

Are the welcoming and tourism information offices open? Some of our offices are now open. You can check our opening hours on the Contact Us page.  You can also contact our tourism information experts at +1 418-665-4454, by email at the following address : info@tourisme-charlevoix.com, via Messenger from Tourisme Charlevoix’s Facebook page.

I forgot to bring my mask, where can I get one in Charlevoix? Masks can be purchased in the region’s drugstores. Check the On s’équipe dans Charlevoix website to learn about the different locations where one may buy individual protective equipment.

Is wearing a mask mandatory on board the ferries in Québec? Yes as of now, wearing a mask is compulsory for the Traverse Rivière-du-Loup/Saint-Siméon. The Société des traversiers du Québec has informed us that come July 13, 2020, it will be mandatory to wear a mask on board the Traverse Tadoussac/Baie-Saint-Catherine and the Traverse l’Isle-aux-Coudres/Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive. You should have your mask on when boarding to gain access to the ferries.

Where are the accessible public washrooms? The public washrooms in Baie-Saint-Paul’s and La Malbaie’s shopping centres are accessible, as are those of the Carrefour culturel Paul-Médéric of Baie-Saint-Paul and the majority of the region’s convenience store and gas stations. You can also go to one of the welcoming and tourism information offices that are open.

Has the Casino de Charlevoix reopened? The reopening of the Casino de Charlevoix is scheduled for July 16. To find the new schedule, the measures in place and to book your place online, please visit the Charlevoix Casino website.

Which accommodation establishments are presently welcoming guests? Most tourist lodgings are now open, log on Tourisme Charlevoix’s Website to consult the most recent updates.

Are restaurants open? Many dining rooms in the region’s restaurants have opened. Also, several restaurants offer an order and/or delivery service.

Are agrotourism businesses open? Yes the majority of agrotourism businesses are now open.

Are hiking trails open? Yes, the majority of hiking trails are now accessible.

Is the Acropole-des-Draveurs trail in the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park open? The trail has been open since June 20. This year, due to the sanitary guidelines, there will be no shuttling between the park entrance and the trail’s departure point. You may park your car near the trail’s departure point. Also, the national park’s entrance fees must be paid on line, prior to your arrival on site.
