Atelier Save the last dance for me at Domaine Forget

Gianmaria Borzillo, Giovanfrancesco Giannini, dancers In this one and a half hour public workshop, Gianmaria Borzillo and Giovanfrancesco Giannini take the public in the footsteps of the polka chinata! Almost forgotten, this folk dance from the 1900s has been brought back to life since 2019 by the Italian company Alessandro Sciarroni. After the show Save the last dance for me, the two dancers offer to teach the basics of this seduction dance from the Bologna region. Performed as a duo, originally only by men, it adapts here to the rhythm of participants of all ages and genders, in the pleasure of a shared whirlwind.
