About

Explore both national parks in the Charlevoix region; Des Grands-Jardins national park forming one of the central areas of the Charlevoix Biosphere Reserve, and the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie national park featuring some of the highest rock walls East of the Rockies! Hike the scenic trails, explore the many lakes and rivers, enjoy a leisurely activity. So many options to choose from. What do you feel like doing to day?

Activities

  • In parc national des Grands-Jardins, winter activities keep you warm. Put on your snowshoes or skis and discover those mountains and forests sculpted by fire. The hiking trails will allow you to discover unique viewpoints of Charlevoix. After a busy day of activity, warm up in the comfort of a chalet. Take your coat, put on your best gloves, here's where it's happening.

  • Come and meet a naturalist park keeper aboard the riverboat or rabaska canoe, for an evening chat or planned activities, and he’ll introduce you to the park in his own way. Or pick up a self-guided tour guide to explore the Malbaie River at your own pace. Guaranteed fun!

  • Climbing is allowed on two rock walls, the Acropole des Draveurs and that of the gates to hell. This second rock wall is located between the Acropole and the Cran des Érables.

  • Whether a beginner or experienced, this is a nice way to discover the breathtaking landscapes and the secrets of the valley between the dam of maples and the bracket sector. You can rent a boat for 1 h, a block of 4 hours or an entire day equipment rental center. Guaranteed fun!

  • Discover the enormous potential of the Malbaie River. Ideal place to learn about fishing with family or friends, wading or boat. Black Lake, meanwhile, allows you to tease the fish in an exceptional environment rowboat. Brook trout and unforgettable sensations featured therein.

  • Seven hiking trails are available for exploring the park. The most spectacular, difficult level, Acropole des Draveurs from a height of 800 meters in altitude offers a unique perspective. Other easy and intermediate trails will not leave you indifferent. Good discovery!
