  • The Pied-des-Monts campground proposes 27 sites without services and 9 powered sites. The majority of these sites may accommodate all types of equipment. The campground offers also 17 ready-to-camp sites. Hassle-free camping!

  • The Arthabaska campground offers 30 without services sites. Located on the shores of Lac Arthabaska, it is accessible by car and is situated in the park’s heart near the Arthabaska discovery and service center.

Activities

  • In parc national des Grands-Jardins, winter activities keep you warm. Put on your snowshoes or skis and discover those mountains and forests sculpted by fire. The hiking trails will allow you to discover unique viewpoints of Charlevoix. After a busy day of activity, warm up in the comfort of a chalet. Take your coat, put on your best gloves, here's where it's happening.

  • Two via ferratas: La Montée (long course) and La Traversée (short course). Mandatory gear: Sportswear (full-length, supple pants | jeans are not permitted); closed-heel sports shoes with laces and rigid soles; no jewellery; long hair must be tied up; gloves are recommended. Also recommended are sunscreen, 1 to 2 litres of water p.p, small packsack, bug repellent, snack. Restrictions: Minimum height: 1.3 m; maximum weight 110 kilos (242 lbs). 12-year-olds are harnessed to a guide; teenagers under 14 must be accompanied by a parent, or have a signed Consent Form with parental signature in their possession. La Traversée|minimun age: 12. La Montée| minimum age: 14. Hours: Mid-June to Thanksgiving. For details about departure times, please ask our attendants.

  • Grab your paddles! Set off for an adventure on Lac Arthabaska and head to the Wabano dam. This pleasant 4-km round-trip in calm water goes through many aquatic environments that are home to a diversified and rich variety of plant and animal life. Be attentive and discreet. Unforgettable encounters are frequent! Rental by the hour, half day (4 hours) and full day.

  • Come and fish, wading or in a rowboat, and discover the tremendous potential of des Grands-Jardins national park’s lakes and rivers. A delicious native trout awaits you in a renowned site whose fishing history dates back to more than a century. The brook trout is highly popular.

  • The trail network of over 30 km can satisfy all categories of hikers. Go and discover a multitude of landscapes: taiga, tundra, deciduous forest, boreal forest, and mountain vegetation. Be sure to see Mont du Lac-des-Cygnes. This mountain offers a unique view of the Charlevoix meteorite crater and Vallée du Gros-Bras.

  • The park, with 24 km of intermediate level trails, offers the opportunity to live a unique and unmatched Nordic ski experience. The ski trails pass through a spruce forest and, on occasions, uses the park’s roads. The trails are marked but not mechanically groomed. You may stop at Lac Pointu’s refuges, open daily between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to rest or have a meal, sheltered by a wood fire in the quiet of the forest.

  • The park offers an incomparable and unique Nordic snowshoeing experience with 51 km of trails from easy, intermediate and difficult. In winter, Mont du Lac des Cygnes, Le Pioui and La Chouenne are the gateways to an incredible winter wonderland, as visitors revel in awesome summit scenery.

  • Discover the remarkable history, fauna and geological features of the Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie with a park warden on board Le Menaud riverboat (47 passengers). Navigate between the steepest rock cliffs east of the Canadian Rockies.

  • Together with Vélo Québec, the Sépaq has set a network of campgrounds “Bienvenue cyclistes” (« Welcome cyclists »)! Enjoy sites reserved exclusively for cyclists, easy of access and available without advance booking.

  • This winter the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie national park rolls out the white carpet. A must destination in Charlevoix’s backcountry, the Vallée des glaces has an abundance of activities such as snowshoeing, Hok skiing, fatbike and skating on the river. The new Echo chalets, de l’Équerre relay refuge and the service center Le Draveur located at the heart of the valley will allow you to fully enjoy this paradise for winter enthusiasts. Guaranteed fun!
