Municipalité de Saint-Irénée

An hour East of Québec City, the town of Saint-Irénée stands out with its spectacular coastal scenery, its breathtaking view on the Saint-Lawrence River, the typical layout of the town and the neighbouring beach. All of these caracteristics have led Saint-Irénée to rank among Québec’s nicest villages.

  • This Récollet-style church dates back to 1840 and the cemetery to 1843. A number of heritage collection pieces are displayed in the church, among them a painting of the Virgin and Child, the high altar, the sanctuary lamp, the stations of the Cross, the Casavant organ. The belfry’s three bells date back to 1904 and resonate at noon and at 6 p.m. The museum area features sacerdotal vestments and objects. The church overlooks the Saint. Lawrence.

  • La Magie Bleue

    June 23 and 24

For the second year, the population of Charlevoix and visitors alike dress in white, blue or yellow, the colours of our National Holiday, to celebrate on the quay, La Jetée des Capelans. Participants will revel in the festive atmosphere. At night, a bonfire will liven up the ambience on the beach. During the day, pay a visit to the annual bazaar at the library. Consult the programming for all the details.
