An hour East of Québec City, the town of Saint-Irénée stands out with its spectacular coastal scenery, its breathtaking view on the Saint-Lawrence River, the typical layout of the town and the neighbouring beach.   • The beach at Saint-Irénée beach is a magnificent one located on the shores of the Saint-Lawrence River. The Capelin jetty, restaurants, an antique shop, horseback riding as well as quality accommodation can be found nearby. Saint-Irénée beach and its jetty are the perfect place to spend a pleasant moment enjoying a picnic, sunbathing, or simply doing nothing.

  • A belvedere offering a magnificent view of the Jean-Noël River waterfall is situated to the Northwest of the municipal recreation site. The belvedere is accessible via a staircase made of about fifty natural stone steps.

  • This Récollet-style church dates back to 1840 and the cemetery to 1843. A number of heritage collection pieces are displayed in the church, among them a painting of the Virgin and Child, the high altar, the sanctuary lamp, the stations of the Cross, the Casavant organ. The belfry’s three bells date back to 1904 and resonate at noon and at 6 p.m. The museum area features sacerdotal vestments and objects. The church overlooks the Saint. Lawrence.
