Musée d'art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul
Art in its Every Form!

The Baie-Saint-Paul Museum of Contemporary Art is the only institution of its kind in the Capitale Nationale region, and ranks third provincewide. Its architecture alone is worth the detour, if only to appreciate the beauty of its central and exhibit halls steeped in daylight flowing through its vast glassed walls. For his efforts, architect Pierre Thibeault was awarded l’Ordre des architectes du Québec. The Museum’s mission is to promote and preserve contemporary art through acquisitional and promotional activities. Every year throughout the month of August, le Musée presents a leading artisitic event: The International Symposium on Contemporary Art [le Symposium international d’art contemporain]. A unique live art event, it welcomes artists from across Canada and the globe to create before the public. Since 1982, the Symposium has greatly contributed to Baie-Saint-Paul and Charlevoix’s cultural renown in the realm of visual arts.

Partial access to persons with reduced mobility.

The Museum has adopted a sustainable development policy that favours buying locally, recycling and avoiding all forms of rogue or unnecessary signage or posters.
