Les Moulins de l’Isle-aux-Coudres économusée® de la meunerie
A Detour, Setting Anchor in History
The only site in Canada with a water mill (1825), a wind mill (1836) and a miller’s residence. Open to the public, with flour-making demonstrations in the water mill. Guided or independent visits.
At the souvenir shop, visitors may purchase freshly milled flour and artisan goods hot from the bakery’s clay oven.
The welcome centre proposes a popular art exhibit on island history, a mid-Lenten mask exhibit as well as a viewing room on island rituals and customs.
