The region
With its rich, 200-year-old tradition of hospitality and its proximity to Quebec City, the Charlevoix region combines the majesty of mountain landscapes with the splendour of the St. Lawrence as the latter proceeds from river to estuary, from sweet water to salt.
Impressive scenery unfolds over this territory of 6,000 sq. km., home to some 30,000 people distributed in charming villages, three of which rank among the most beautiful in Quebec.
One of the major assets of Charlevoix tradition of tourist hospitality is undoubtedly its network of highly developed Lodging facilities, which offer almost 2,700 rooms.
