The Sentier des Caps de Charlevoix, Traversée de Charlevoix, Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie national park, the Mont Grand-Fonds and Les Palissades de Charlevoix, come together to offer the 5-summit Challenge in Charlevoix!

The Challenge must be completed between June and October 2023.

It is always important to get information from the trail manager before going hiking.

  • Le Yéti - Sentier le Riverin

    This trail, located on the west bank of the Malbaie River, offers magnificent views of the valley and the Cran des Érables. Several path options are available to you to reach the Yéti viewpoint.

  • Mont Grand-Fonds

    Mont Grand-Fonds is a mountain that offers a host of activities in an exceptional natural environment with breathtaking views of the river and the mountains. Climb La Sommet, a superb path culminating at the belvedere of Lac Gravel, and combine it with a descent via La Trappeur.

  • Le Cap Gribane trail

    The Cap Gribane trail leads to the refuge of the cap and given its lenght, is aimed,at experienced hikers. You will discover six belvederes on the St. Lawrence River and the Archipelago of the Montmagny Islands.

  • Palissades de Charlevoix

    The Palisades team has specially concocted a trail for you to follow and overlook cliffs recognized as the highest mountain walls in Quebec, with a height of more than 400 meters.

  • Mont du Dôme

    A sumptuous alpine setting awaits you, with the added bonus of a view of Baie-Saint-Paul and the St. Lawrence estuary. The switchback climb allows you to become familiar with a regenerating forest that had been engulfed in flames in 1991.

  • The Mystery of Charlevoix

    The 5 Summits Challenge adds a little spice to the adventure! You will find enigmas to solve on each peak to access Mont Mystère and have a chance to win more prizes.
