In winter, des Grands-Jardins national park offers sixty four (64) kilometers of snowshoe and Nordic ski trails allowing you to explore this snow-laden forest and observe its wildlife. Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will be charmed by the unforgettable decor of this islet of Québec’s Far North.
Pathway
The # 10 trail is a short course of 1.6 km for hiking in snowshoe or Nordic skis; it offers a short cut in the # 9 trail loop. Although easy it is accessible through trail # 1 (17 km) or #11 trail (2.5 km) which are of intermediate level. From the refuge La Galette or the parking lot at kilometer 31 of route 30, in the Thomas-Fortin sector, it passes near Lac Grâce.
Access
From Baie-Saint-Paul, follow route 138 East, then route 381 North to kilometer 21. It is always important to obtain information from the trail manager before setting out on the trail.
