The 4-season outdoor center offers downhill skiing, off-piste skiing in the Lynx sector, more than 140 km of cross-country ski trails with 4 heated relays, 41 km of snowshoe trails, 2 alpine hiking trails, 1 snowmobile relay and hiking in summer. In summer at Mont Grand-Fonds, the fragrance of spruce fills the air! Put on your hiking boots, grab your picnic, and take a breath of fresh air less than 15 minutes from La Malbaie! Choose from three paths – La Sommet for a climb of intermediate level, La Trappeur for a more challenging and technical ascent and La Familiale for a rather easy hike. Mont Grand-Fonds can boast having one of Québec’s most beautiful mountains! There is no doubt that our gem of nature will delight you.
Mont Grand-Fonds features 1 100 feet (335 m) of vertical drop , an average of 18 feet (550 cm) of natural snow each year; 22 trails and glades where beginners and experts alike will enjoy. And the powder snow! At Grand-Fonds we get lots of powder snow, and afetr a snow storm it's magical. Come and enjoy our beautiful and cozy lodge, with its god meals, and our bar with fireplace and the Saturday afternoon shows.
Backcountry skiing, this unparalleled activity combines a climb on one of our ascent trails and a descent on alpine trails… Happiness! Our little new easy level, La Trappeur, is ideal for beginners. With a length of 3.8 km with an arrival in paradise at the Gravel Lake belvedere. More of an off-piste enthusiast? Come and test yourself at La Paddy, our 2.2 km climbing trail for the pros. Culminating on the Versant du Lynx and its 8 hectares of undergrowth and clearings. Ideal for tracing the aftermath of a storm! The equipment is available for rent if you want to try!
Put on your snowshoes and hit the 41 km trails. In addition to Le Sommet trail (8,5 km with belvedere), the base trails feature 4 km and 8km with heated huts. Hot beverages included!
With 140 km of crosscountry skiing trails of which 120 km are skating runs, Mont Grand-Fonds attracts Nordic ski lovers of all levels. In our heated huts, we offer free hot chocolate, coffee and chicken broth. It's on the house!
