This year, the Baie-Saint-Paul International Symposium on Contemporary Art is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Invitational annual contemporary art event for artists from Quebec, Canada and abroad to work throughout the month before a large public. Also, assorted parallel activities such as performances, conferences, creative workshops, etc., to make it a festive happening open to all. Created in 1982, the Symposium offers visitors the opportunity of meeting artists, of living a creative experience in the visual arts by attending these live art performances.  Historically focused on painting, in the past it has explored the bonds between this medium and other disciplines. The Symposium is the only professional event of its kind, and is referred to as a prestigious benchmark in today’s art world.  Baie-Saint-Paul has long contributed to promoting emerging artists whose acclaim now extends far across Canada. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm – 5pm.  Entertainment for the public from opening to closing.
