Summer Kids Camps

Charlevoix camps and daycamps offer kids an unforgettable vacation alternative. Whether you’re looking for a summer or March Break camp, the region’s list of kids’ getaways all feature fun, the opportunity to learn and develop new friendships in an exceptional environment. With a selction of theme based camps, the Charlevoix is definitely not just for grown-ups!

Le Centre Écologique de Port-au-Saumon’s Kids Camp is one of the Charlevoix’s top three summer camps. Founded by Father Genest in 1960, this camp perched up on the highlands overlooking Port-au-Saumon Bay focuses on marine and land ecology.  From the starfish to the Northern star, it offers kids a framework to learn about nature sciences, the arts and group living. Astronomy camps are also available.

Since 1965, Camp Le Manoir in Les Éboulements has welcomed children every summer to this camp established on the site of a historical manor that dates back to the feudal regime. Located at the top of la Grande Côte leading down to Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive, the manor was built in 1810 by Lord Pierre de Sales Laterrière. The compound spans over one kilometre and nearby sits the historical Les Éboulements village mill, another testimonial to the days of the French regime, which is still in operation today.

In Saint-Irénée, each year Domaine Forget’s Académie de musique et de danse welcomes close to 600 students, there to meet with approximately 120 educators of world-class calibre hailing from the four corners of the globe.  With its unparalleled view of the St. Lawrence River, students practise their art in an enchanting setting, on an estate that once belonged to Rodolphe Forget, a former Charlevoix MP.
