Les Moulins de l'Isle-aux-Coudres, MILLING ECONOMUSEUM®

The only site in Canada with a water mill (1825), a wind mill (1836) and miller's homestead. Open to visitors. As in bygone days, the miller still grinds the grinds the grain himself at the water mill as visitors watch a wheat and buckwheat milling demonstration. Fresh stone-milled flour sold onsite & treats baked in an artisanal clay oven. Guided & self-guided tours available to the public. The multifunctional Welcome Centre features a pop art exhibit by islander Alfred Desgagnés, a mid-Lenten mask exhibit and a viewing area presenting the customs and rites of island dwellers.

Rates : Fee required. Special group rates

Schedule : May 21(Saturday of Fête des Patriotes weekend) to October 10,(Thansgiving Monday): daily, 10am – 5:30pm.
