Charlevoix Maritime Museum

Located at the old Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive shipyard, the Musée maritime de Charlevoix preserves and recounts Charlevoix’s maritime history through tales of the schooners that once sailed the St. Lawrence. The museum’s permanent and temporary exhibits offer visitors a unique opportunity to learn about the history of navigation and understand the important role these ships played in the economic development of regional Québec. Explore the site, have fun roaming the beach or relaxing over a family picnic at the tables provided. Le Musée maritime’s vast property extends to the shores of the St. Lawrence River.

Rates : Adults: $5. Students 12 – 17 years: $2. Children 12 and under: Free. Groups: $4 per person.

Schedule : May 14 – June 22, and from September 3 – October 8: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. Weekends: 10am – 5pm. June 23 – September 2: Open daily, 9am – 6pm. October 9 - mid-November: group tours, with reservations.
